If you requested an Everyday 401(k) by J.P. Morgan - Solo, you should receive an email with the option to begin registration. Select Register for my Account to get started.
From the “Registration” window, enter the email address you want to use to sign in to your account. Then, click Continue.
There are four steps in the onboarding process you need to complete:
- Company Info
- Business Owner
- Sign Contracts
- Account Funding
1. Company Info
In the “Company Info” section, you will be prompted to provide some company information, including:
- EIN
- Note: EIN stands for Employer Identification Number, and we require you to provide one to sign up for a Solo 401(k) plan. If you do not have one, please obtain one here. We do not allow you to sign up using your SSN because this would appear in the public filings for the plan.
- Company legal name
- Note: Make sure to provide your full legal company name as this will be used in filings.
- Physical address
- Company phone number
- Company entity type
- State of incorporation
- Fiscal year end
Once you’ve entered all required fields, click Save & Submit to move on to the next step.
2. Business Owner
In the “Business Owner” section, you will be prompted to provide some information about the primary owner and operator of the business, including:
- First name
- Last name
- SSN
- Date of birth
- Work email
- Phone number
- Physical address
Once you’ve entered all required fields, click Save & Submit. Before proceeding to the next step, you will be able to add your spouse to the plan.
If you would like to add your spouse, select Add my Spouse. You will be prompted to provide some identification information. Once complete, click Add Spouse.
If you do not wish to add a spouse, simply click Save & Continue.
3. Sign Contracts
The next step in the onboarding process is to review and sign your Plan Services Agreement. Once you’ve reviewed the document and provided your signature, select Save & Continue.
Note: Plan design elements cannot be altered for Solo 401(k) plans. If you wish to make any changes, you must sign up for an Everyday 401(k) plan.
4. Account Funding
The final step in the onboarding process is to provide account funding. You will be prompted to add the bank account you’ll use to fund your account, and to streamline your experience, we recommend that you use your Chase Business Bank Account.
Note: The initial deposit amount is $750, and we will initiate an ACH transfer to collect your required account deposit within two business days of completing your account opening process.
Click Add Account, and then select whether you would like to link your bank account through a direct bank connection using Plaid or by manually entering your bank information. Then, click Continue.
You will then be prompted to select how you would like to pay your one-time setup fee of $350 and any ongoing fees. You may use the account you just added, or select Add Another Account. Once you’ve chosen the account you would like to use, click Save & Continue.
Congratulations! You have completed the initial onboarding setup of your Everyday 401(k) by J.P. Morgan - Solo plan. You may now select Set up my Saver Portal to start setting up your saver portal.
