Two-Factor Authentication on Your Saver Portal

When setting up two-factor authentication, you can select your preferred method to receive security codes:

Authentication App

Use the Google Authenticator app or Microsoft Authenticator app to receive codes. You can receive codes without internet or mobile service. 

Phone Number

Set up your phone number to receive text messages or a voice call with authentication codes.

Note: Setting up both authentication methods is strongly recommended. 

In the event your authentication app gets deleted, your mobile device is lost, or your mobile phone number changes you will have another way of authenticating in order to access your account. 

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Enabling Two-Step verification is easy. To turn this feature on, follow these simple steps:

You will need your computer and your cell phone handy to set up the phone Two-step verification.

1. 1. Log onto your J.P. Morgan savers portal: https://jpmorgan.vestwell.com/
   2. Click on the Login & Security icon on the top right-hand side of your screen. 
   3. Under the "Two-Factor Authentication" section, select your desired method, this can be through an authentication app or phone number.

Enabling Authentication App

1. Install one of the authentication apps Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device.
2. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, select Setup on the "Authentication App" option.
3. Enter your password and hit Next: Setup.
4. Open your authentication app, select the plus button (+), and select scan QR code.
5. Then scan the QR code on your screen and hit Next: Verify.
   • Note: Your authenticator app will register the J. P. Morgan account.
6. Enter the 6-digit code that shows in your app and select Confirm.

Enabling Phone Number

1. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, select Setup on the Phone Number option.
2. Enter your password and hit Next: Setup.
3. Enter your mobile phone number and select your verification method, either text message or voice call. Then click Next: Verify.
4. Enter the 6-digit code sent to you via text message or voice call and hit Confirm.
   • Note: If you do not receive the 6-digit code, you can select Resend code.
5. You can add a backup number using the same process. You can set either number as your default number. 

Once an authentication method has been set up, you will see an "Enabled" status.

Use the three dots next to each method to:

Edit

• Authentication App: Switch between Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. 
• Phone Number: Update or change your phone number.

Set as Default

If both methods have been set up you can choose which method you would like to use as your default authentication method.

Remove

If both methods have been set up, you can choose which method you would like to use as your default authentication method.
